Our second recital, "Descendants," was a significant challenge as we innovated a new format during the pandemic. With theaters closed, we created a movie, filmed entirely at the academy, and enjoyed it via livestream from home. Featuring 49 students, the recital was based on the "Descendants" movies, which follow the lives of the teenage children of Disney villains and their move to the kingdom of Auradon. For the first time, we introduced acting, which not only met the children's eagerness to perform but also showcased their versatility and creativity in a new medium.
